Your local workspace
Notes, transcripts, reviewed actions, people and workspace settings are stored on your Mac. The local workflow does not automatically upload that content to FocusBae. Supported speech and AI processing run on-device with the required models installed. You can use local features without a FocusBae account.
Recording and model setup
You choose when to record and whether to capture microphone audio, system audio or both. Obtain participants’ permission before recording where required. Interrupted audio may be retained locally for recovery. You can opt to keep audio for playback or delete it, and export a full-workspace backup.
Model installation requires network access. The download provider receives connection information such as an IP address when your Mac requests files. Strict Local mode blocks in-app network operations, including model downloads. Checking for updates happens only when you choose it in Settings: the app asks the FocusBae update server for the latest version number, and downloads an update only after you confirm. No workspace content is sent. Strict Local blocks update checks too. Apple capabilities and downloaded models also have their own terms.
Storage, export and deletion
Local storage is not a claim of app-level encryption. Your device security and backups matter. Notes can be exported as Markdown, or you can export and restore a full-workspace backup. Deleting an item does not promise immediate secure erasure from database journals, recovery files or backups you manage.
FocusBae cannot retrieve an offline workspace from your Mac on request. You control your local copy. If you contact us for help, share only the information needed to investigate the problem.
Visiting this website
The website uses Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights for page-usage and performance measurements. These can include visited URLs, referrers, device and browser information, approximate location and performance timings. Website hosting also processes connection information to serve pages. This is separate from the desktop’s local workspace.
When you choose Download for Mac, the link passes through a small counter hosted on Cloudflare before reaching the installer. It records only the date and the app version downloaded, so we can see how many people try FocusBae. It does not store your IP address, a cookie or any other identifier. As with any website, Cloudflare processes the request itself to deliver it.
Read Vercel’s Web Analytics privacy information and Speed Insights privacy information. This site stores the appearance preference in browser storage. The illustrative walkthrough uses sample content held in page memory and resets when reloaded.
Support and information you send us
When you email us, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use that information to respond and resolve your request. Avoid sending passwords, payment-card details or private meeting recordings. Support records may need to be retained to resolve ongoing issues or meet applicable obligations.
Optional connected services
Sync, browser workspace access and paid Connect are planned. They are not enabled by visiting this site, and no signup is needed for the local product. We will explain transfer scope, service providers, storage and deletion terms before offering those services.
If you previously used an older connected build, its account, calendar and hosted processing behavior differs from the local workflow. The earlier connected-service privacy notice remains available. This redesign does not delete information already held by those services.
Sharing and your requests
We do not sell your personal information for marketing. Information you send to us may be processed by service providers needed to host the website, deliver email or handle an existing payment, or disclosed where required by law. Your rights to request access, correction or deletion of information we hold depend on applicable law.
